Eric Nies
Eric is not easily defined. Once known around the world as a beloved television icon and pioneer of reality TV, Eric’s true journey began when he stepped away from the spotlight and into the sacred, unseen worlds of healing and spirit.
Rising to global recognition as the teen idol from MTV’s The Real World/New York and host of MTV’s The Grind, Eric became one of the most recognizable faces in reality television, reaching 90 million viewers around the world as the host of The Grind. He was inducted into the Television Hall of Fame as a “Pioneer of Reality Television.”
For the last three decades, Eric has quietly walked the path of soul liberation and ancestral lineage healing—facing darkness with equanimity, reclaiming his power from all fear based programming, and remembering to trust and surrender to the love within himself. He has sat with shamans in the Amazon, fasted in deserts, journeyed through hundreds of Ayahuasca ceremonies, meditated in silence and chanted with Tibetan Monks in the Himalayas, and held space for countless souls to remember who they truly are. Those who encounter him often say the same thing: being with Eric feels like returning home to something ancient and familiar.
His life is now a living prayer—of healing, of service, of remembrance.
Eric’s presence is soft yet powerful, familiar yet ancient.
Eric's work is not about fixing people—it is about liberating the light within them.
With a heart wide open and a presence that softens even the most guarded spirit, Eric walks beside those ready to shed old stories and reconnect with their soul’s true voice.
He does not call himself a guru or healer. He is simply someone who has remembered—and helps others do the same. His presence is gentle, intuitive, and undeniably powerful. Having faced deep personal pain and suffering through his own dark night of the soul, Eric has emerged not hardened, but humbled—his compassion deepened, his heart open.
The people Eric has guided speak of him as a healer’s healer—someone who holds powerful, sacred space with integrity, compassion, and fierce love. They describe feeling safe, seen, and transformed through his presence. His work has been likened to “ten years of therapy in a few sessions,” helping people unlock lifelong patterns, process deep-rooted trauma, and reconnect with joy, authenticity, and purpose.
Eric’s mission is clear: to support the evolution of the soul, bring light into the body, and help each person awaken their power and purpose. He leads with an open heart, courageous spirit, and a commitment to truth that invites transformation at the deepest levels of being.

Bob Isaacson
Bob was a civil rights-human rights attorney for twenty-five years, specializing in defending people against the death penalty, primarily before juries in Chicago and San Diego and before the Illinois Supreme Court. He presented and won a landmark case in the Supreme Court of the United States, which limits the power of the police to arrest people without sufficient grounds, when he was 27, the second youngest attorney in history to appear before the nation’s highest court.
Bob Isaacson was drawn to the Buddha’s teachings on the path to the end of suffering 30 years ago and continues to be inspired. Since he began Buddhist practice, Bob has participated in 28 meditation retreats of one month or longer.
Bob currently teaches the Dharma (the Buddha’s teachings), leads two Sanghas (ongoing groups of practitioners), and leads day-long and weekend retreats in the San Diego area, having been trained in Spirit Rock Meditation Center’s Community Dharma Leader Program.
It did not take Bob long to realize the disconnect between the Buddha’s teachings of compassion and non-harming toward all sentient beings and the actual practice of Buddhist teachers and followers who continue to eat animals. This disconnect led Bob to join with several friends in 2011 to launch the non-profit organization, Dharma Voices for Animals (DVA). For the first fourteen years of DVA, Bob Isaacson was the President/CEO.
DVA is the only international Buddhist animal rights/animal advocacy organization in the world. DVA relies on the Buddha’s teachings to engage Buddhist centers and communities around the world to transition to a vegan diet, especially in Asia where over 98% of Buddhists live.

Mia Rue
With over twenty-six years of immersive personal transformation and holistic life advancement training and experience and several credentials including a Master's Degree in Spiritual Psychology, Mia brings an abundance of resources and tools to facilitate rapid shifts in those she works with expanding awareness of what is possible and empowering evolution through education and experiential processes.
For nearly twenty years, Mia was a pioneer in the field of western entheogenic plant use (or plant medicine use). She was a researcher and member of the Centro Espírita Beneficente União do Vegetal, was asked to produce a documentary for the group and travel with, translate for, and document teachings of the elders of this community. She was granted permission to write two ethnographies about the closed Hoasca religious society. These texts were later seized by the Attorney General of the United States and utilized as evidence in a six-year legal struggle that culminated in Mia sitting before the Supreme Court of the United States where the group received a unanimous decision to receive legal protections to practice their ceremonies in the United States under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.
Since her departure from this group in 2011, she has diligently worked to study and develop holistic alternatives to accessing and sustaining personal transformation and spiritual evolution. Through individual and group work, Mia supports people in accessing their innate abilities to augment their cognitive and perceptory capabilities for their own positive advancement. Breathwork and the practices of Spiritual Psychology, in conjunction with holistic wellness practices, have been the most powerful tools for consistently achieving remarkable results that she has encountered.
Mia has decades of practical experience creating curriculum, educating internationally, serving in roles of leadership, maintaining a private practice, and advocating for human potential. As Founding Partner of Rythmia Life Advancement Center she has witnessed thousands of lives positively transformed through a holistic approach to accessing our innate abilities to miraculously transform and heal.

“It is such a natural step for me to be on the Board of The Gentle Barn Foundation, as I have dedicated my personal life to the conservation of animals. I love the way that The Gentle Barn connects our youth and guides them in the right direction, to be more kind and compassionate people in our society. Helping animals and children… What’s not to like.”
He is grateful for the support of Gentle Barn friends who are helping the foundation continue to rescue more animals as well as expand to a breathtaking new location in New York State with an emphasis on helping retire carriage horses and allowing them a safe “forever home” on the property.
